ITINERARY
Pick up at Tien Sa port then drive along spectacular coastline to Hue. Stop en-route to visit Hai Van Pass (Cloudy Pass) where offers you amazing scenery of mountain and sea.
On arrival Hue, visit Khai Dinh Tomb which is well known for its intricate mosaic tiles as well as the European influenced Oriental design. After visiting the tomb, drive among green, aged pine trees toward Tu Duc Tomb with stop at the craft village of Da Khe which specializes in traditional bamboo handicrafts. Discover Tu Duc’s Tomb - the resting place for the fourth emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty that reflect the character of a poet and scholar than an emperor with a romantic architectural style within harmonious natural setting.
Ride toward the Hue center, you will pass the impressive French built Quoc Hoc High School where many important statesmen of Vietnam attended including the father figure of the country Ho Chi Minh and Imperial Citadel and Forbidden City. Built from 1804 to 1833 and was the administrative centre of the country from 1802 to 1884 and nominally until 1945, the fortress-like citadel encompasses three courts covering 6 km that surrounded by massive brick walls and protected by a moat system. There were hundreds of buildings that built in a perfect harmony and strict concept of Fengshui. Less than a third of the structures inside the citadel remain due to successive wars especially in 1947 and 1968. Enjoy lunch at beautiful garden restaurant with specialties of Hue.
After lunch, process to XQ hand Embroidery workshop - a gallery of Vietnamese tradition, XQ features delicately hand-woven fabrics embroidered by skilled technicians. Watch the craftswomen at work and be struck by the beauty of their pieces. Stitch by stitch, their process is impeccable, talent apparent and end result often as realistic as a painting. Optional stroll around Dong Ba Market where you can learn more about local’s life, enjoy shoppingbefore driving back your cruise ship. Trip end inside Tien Sa port.
