At the Cu Chi tunnels, first you will watch a documentary film that recorded the life of the people during the war time then take a walk around on a guided tour to discover the tunnel system with bunkers, fighting halls, military workshops, hospital, living rooms and so on… Creep into little zigzag tunnel to get to know how difficult living here was. Learn all the detail about the war that happened on this land and perhaps complete your experience with a fire of Russian rifle AK47.

Itinerary:
Get picked up from your hotel for about 1,5hours drive from busy city to stunning countryside. Locates approximately 60 km northwest of Saigon – Ho Chi Minh City in a beautiful green land with fruit gardens, rice paddies and plantations, Cu Chi Tunnels, like a spider net in the soil of Cu Chi District, consist of more than 200km of narrow underground tunnels that connecting half or total covered hideouts, shelters, fighting bunkers, hospital, school, living rooms and so on… all was built and used by resistant fighters during the French and American war in Vietnam.

Here, thousands of Viet Cong and their followers lived, loved and fought and died for the land. Though suffered many serious and bloody onslaughts, the tunnel and the people stood until the end of the war, making Cu Chi the symbol of strong national determination.
Today, nearly half of the tunnels is reserved as a memorial park. In some areas tunnels have been widened and low powered lights installed so that western tourists can now fit through the complex.
Upon arrival in the tunnel area, you will learn the history of the land with a documentary film.
Continue to wander past little trail and discover secret entrances and booby-traps beneath your feet, visiting little bunkers, individual shelter and fighting holes, living rooms, military workshops, underground smokeless kitchens and so on.

You will have chance to sample some of the simple cuisine that local fighters would have survived on and have an opportunity to venture into the tunnels and explore the complex. All will help you to learn more about the conditions the people lived in, the hardships they faced and the amazing ingenuity employed to maintain life in the tunnels. Complete with a try of firing Russian Carbine rifles AK 47’s if you wish to. Driving back the city center and get dropped at your hotel.
